About This Song Is Yours
Founded in 2020, This Song Is Yours began as a music podcast inspired by NPR’s All Songs Considered and Zan Rowe’s Take 5. What started as a passion project talking to artists about what music they loved, quickly grew into a vibrant platform dedicated to the art of songwriting. In 2023, we expanded into video content, bringing even more depth and variety to our audience.

At This Song Is Yours, we focus on the craft of songwriting. Our mission is to offer insightful, engaging, and meaningful content that goes beyond the surface. We aim to inspire music lovers by delving into the creative processes of their favorite artists, steering clear of gossip and sensationalism.
Our weekly podcast features conversations with a diverse range of songwriters, from legends like Jack Antonoff and The Flaming Lips to rising stars like Gracie Abrams and Maisie Peters. We discuss their creative processes, the inspiration behind their work, and the technical aspects of songwriting.
In addition to our podcast, our video content includes unique experiences like record shopping with bands such as MUNA, Gretta Ray, and Christian Lee Hutson. We’re committed to providing fresh, engaging content that resonates with music lovers of all ages.
We believe in building a community of passionate music enthusiasts who appreciate the nuances of songwriting. Whether you’re a 20-something discovering new artists or a seasoned music lover reliving the classics, This Song Is Yours has something for you.
