I’m so proud of my sophomore album, Til Every Petal Drops, that’s out everywhere now. It’s been a long time in the works, and was released nearly nine years after my debut album, Sit Still, Look Pretty. It feels like a culmination of all that I’ve been doing and feeling over the past few years, the trials of living through my early twenties in Los Angeles, going in and out of relationships, experimenting and rebuilding my relationship with myself and my music. A lot of it is about a devotion to love, to vulnerability, and to my art. I’m so proud of every song—it feels like a blend of all my favorite genres—a little bit of electronic, R&B, alternative, dance, and pop. I hope you love it too :)

Losing You - Solange

One of my favorite productions of the last decade. The track feels so visceral, like it’s three-dimensional somehow, and the lyrics are simple but still cutting.

Tracy Chapman - Fast Car

One of the greatest songs ever made, I think. It feels so nostalgic and touches on such a universal feeling. Her voice is just so pure and haunting.

Joni Mitchell - Both Sides Now

My favourite Joni song and just beautiful storytelling. I saw her perform it at the Hollywood Bowl in LA and cried the whole time.

Radiohead - Jigsaw Falling Into Place

My favourite Radiohead song from my favourite Radiohead album. This song got me through a lot as an angsty 21-year-old.

Stevie Wonder - Golden Lady

I love walking through New York in the summer and listening to this song <3 It feels like a summer crush.

Yebba - Yellow Eyes

All of Yebba’s songs are incredible but I love the sensitivity of this one and her melodies and vocal precision are just insane.

Leonard Cohen - Famous Blue Raincoat

I love the way he was able to tell a story as gripping and full of plot twists as a novel, in the span of 5 minutes. Forever one of my favorites.

Addison Rae - High Fashion

One of my favourite songs to come out over the last few years. The production is so emotional and cinematic.

Cocteau Twins - Cherry-coloured Funk

One of those timeless songs that I never get tired of. The chorus melody is like a drug to me.

Chris Isaak - Wicked Game

I feel like I’m in a dream every time I hear this song still. I love his delivery, it feels so sincere and hauntingly beautiful.
