Anything in life worth having comes with challenges, whether that’s relationships, a dream, anything. My new single ‘Don’t You Want It’ begs the question: how much are you willing to sacrifice for the thing you want? You might get your heart broken, you might fall or face difficult moments, but is it worth it? I believe so.

Fletcher Kent - Don’t You Want It

Thought I’d kick the playlist off with this new single. Originally it had a lot more intense production, but my co-writer and producer Eric J stripped a lot of that and I feel it’s more open and exactly what it was meant to be.

Bruce Springsteen - A Rainy Night In Soho

When the Bruce Springsteen movie came out recently I saw it in the cinema and resonated so deeply. I absolutely love this new song from him and am inspired to be still making music in my 70’s.

Chet Faker - Just My Hallelujah

I hadn’t listened to Chet Faker for some years, but came across this new album recently and it’s so good. Beautiful music.

Angie McMahon  - Keeping Time

I remember a few years ago I did a surf trip on a boat in Indonesia. We didn’t have any service, and so I just listened to music I had downloaded. I sat at the front of the boat looking out at the open horizon listening to this on repeat.

Aaron Rowe  - Talking With You

I got connected with Aaron when we were both supporting Lewis Capaldi around Aus. I absolutely love this song and all his music.

Medium Build - Knowing You Exist

Medium Build has been my favourite artist over the last year.  His voice and emotional songwriting are incredible.

Madison Cunningham  - Life According to Raechel

I have cried so many times to this song. It cuts raw. About her relationship with her Grandma as she passed. Really makes you want to cherish every day and your special relationships.

Mumford and Sons  - I’ll Tell You Everything

My favourite album this year. Have listened non stop since it came out. Mumford are leading the way for singer/songwriters.

Max Ritcher  - Of Agnes

This is from the Hamlet Soundtrack. I actually haven’t seen the movie yet, but the soundtrack has captured me. It’s so beautiful and emotional.

Bon Iver  - AWARDS SEASON

This one feels like such an ending to me. It reflects on time and change. “What can wax can wane”. It feels hopeful, with acknowledgment that impermanence is inevitable.
